About us

We would like to introduce ourselves,  David and  Janelle,  and our kennel name is Mysticpaw Siberians.

We are located in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney's south.

In 2001, after lots of research into different breeds, we decided to get a Siberian Husky. After much reading, telephone calls and e-mails we drove from

Sydney to Parkes to see if we were not just acceptable dog owners, but Siberian Husky owners.

Luckily we were and we came home with our boy

Maverick                                 AKA RICKY

Thank you to Natalie Brown at Sibenah for our boy. Nat did warn us that Siberian Huskies are like chips and you can't stop at one.

We drove away laughing ; one dog is enough for anyone.

In the following year 2002 we drove down to Gunning to show off our boy to Nat and to see how much he had grown, and we fell in love with Tala.

After much discussion and the promise that we would stop at two, we drove down to Wingello forest a week or two later to get Tala.

It was during this time that we had  been to several sledding events as spectators, and fell in love with the sport, the people and the way the dogs just loved running in harness.

In 2002 we attended with our son, Chris, the Introductory Week-end held by the Siberian Husky Club of NSW.

In 2003, after even further discussion and a promise that this would be our last dog, we decided to look around for a third dog..

In  June 2003 Tikaani became part of our team

Thankyou To Michelle and David Debono Iceware Siberians. She is a delightful dog.

Tikaani took to harness work like a duck to water.

Life as we new it was fun and sometimes even normal, then in February 2004 we bought our lovely little red girl Jatz           .

The peace and serenity was over. Thank you to Bera Simone Articcircle Siberians  for our extra special girl Jatz. (Sheezacracka)

We built this website to share our photos and knowledge of the breed, and to encourage people to do their research before purchasing a puppy,

to promote pure bred dogs and responsible dog ownership.

We are members of Dogs NSW (formerly the Canine Council) and are active members of the Siberian Husky Club of NSW.

Please feel free to contact us as we are always happy to chat about this amazing breed.
